Inspired by the myth of Argus, the hundred-eyed giant, ARGO reinterprets the moment in which Juno preserves his memory by placing his eyes upon the tail of the peacock, her sacred animal. The project originates from the rediscovery of a series of Murano glass discs, likely from a historic chandelier. These elements are given new life through a limited series of lamps—produced according to the number of recovered pieces—ranging from table lamps to pendants, floor lamps, and wall lights. This first presentation introduces the initial two versions: a table lamp and a suspension. Each piece is composed of two glass discs, evoking the all-seeing eyes of the mythological figure. They are connected by a hand-crafted structure, where a curved steel element suggests the peacock’s feather, and a brass pin secures the “eye” in place.
ARGO is an auto production, hand made in Milan.
